Private practice

The SilverFit system can be used in private practice if the practice has a sufficient number of geriatric patients to make the investment worthwhile. The SilverFit can be used to provide a full range of gross motor exercises. These can be done completely unsupported, or using parallel bars or other supports. The system can help to provide group therapy either with 2 or more patients exercising on the SilverFit, or by combining the SilverFit with other exercise equipment such as a hometrainer or threadmill.

Because the exercises can be set to from a very low level up to a rather intensive pace, the SilverFit can provide meaningful training opportunities for a broad range of patients. E.g., post-orthopedic, fitness for cardio, COPD, or diabetes/obesitas patients, as well as patients in the chronic phase of a stroke recovery process.

The therapist does not have to continuously monitor a single patient during the exercises. This allows for a more effective and efficient use of therapist time. The games provide a strong boost for patients motivation, which improves loyalty to the therapy exercise regime. The SilverFit also provides scores that can be used to track the patients progress, thus further improving motivation.
